By the school year 2015-2016, both of our high schools in Fort Mill are anticipated to be at full capacity. This proposal is to suggest to our school board and community to have a single bond referendum to alleviate the overcrowding.
Expansion at our two high schools will be the most beneficial choice for our district to eliminate overcrowding. The referendum will allow the district the opportunity to:
- Accommodate enrollment for up to 2,400 students per high school
- Pay down current debts
- Keep operational expenses lean
- Increase district security
- Maintain high excellence in education while managing record enrollment growth
This bond touches EVERY school in our district:
- Every school will receive improvements from the bond
- Technology will be improved throughout the district
- Security and safety upgrades will address concerns for all ages
- Expansion at the high schools will have a positive impact on the current middle and elementary students alike
